John 4:4-10

Now he had to go through Samaria.  So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

Tubestation prayer for this week:

Loving God, we thank you for your faithfulness over this last very difficult week.
For each sign of your love we thank you,  for sunshine and spring flowers,  for the kindness of our families and friends and neighbours.
We  see your love through dedicated health workers,  doctors,  nurses, and caregivers and  key workers.   Please protect them and strengthen them today.

Lord we want to use this isolation time to draw closer to you.  To acknowledge your presence, and grow in our faith. Please walk with us and help us to know you better.
Thank you for your promise in exodus 33:14
“ My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

(Now look up to the sky while you read, or sing 🎵 these words )
     “ Faithful God, so unchanging,
Ageless one you’re my rock of peace,
Lord of all I depend on you.
I call out your name, again and again.
You are my rock in times of trouble, you lift me up when I fall down.
All through the storm your love is the anchor, my hope is in you alone”. Amen.
