Hey all, and welcome to Tube news for the beginning of May...
The lull since the holidays has been a lovely time of re-grouping with friends returning from far corners of the globe; and we've had a little extra time for things like appointing new staff for the kitchen, preparing the garden for a year of production and beauty, stocking up on eco coffee cups and introducing a new guest coffee, getting a new band ready for the road, and meanwhile some of the Polzy crew have even had time for holidays of our own -
three different groups from Polzeath turned up in the same location in Portugal last week - Feel sorry for the locals.

Here is the news ...
New Guest Coffee
When Murray from Sunday Collab came in to see us we told him the story of our award winning coffee, Tubetime, and how it had been developed with our friends at local micro-roaster Hands-On whose uncle owns the farm in Brazil where 50% of the beans in the blend come from. It's our own blend, and we're well known for it. Still, we liked the Sunday brand and their story too - started in Hossegor France by surfers, using Italian blended and roasted coffee sourced only from Rainforest Alliance farms, donating 1% of sales to Surfrider Europe which aids in the protection of our oceans and beaches - right on guys!

Then we tried it - different to Tubetime, less fruity, more of a roasted nuts Italian tasting blend. Delicious! We could see a place for it alongside and complimeting our own Tubetime. So next time you're here, if you fancy trying our guest coffee just ask.

Garden looks great!
Big thanks to the gardening crew for all the fruitful pottering that is making our garden beautiful! We would like to ask if anyone has a petrol mower or strimmer they no longer use we would be very grateful for it. Our mower died last year and we don't want to keep buying cheapo ones because they just break and end up in landfill. Thanks.

Time to get back in the water kids! Bank holiday is going to be stunning and Sunday Surf School starts this weekend - Sunday 6th May at 10am - ages 8-16, if you're keen bring your wetsuit!
This is IMPORTANT!

Please look out for the "GDPR" email we're about to send you. A new law means that if you want to continue getting Tubestation emails you will have to update your email preferences, otherwise we can't stay in touch.
CSUK ecoffee cups
Great to be able to further reduce single use plastics with these new ecoffee cups from Christian Surfers, made with naturally organic bamboo fibre. We are selling these beauties for £12, with your first coffee FREE! Also don't forget if you bring your own keep cup we give 20% off your hot drink (about 50p), Shaka!
Joffy, Knoxy and co, the usual home made loveliness in our Sunday Session at 10am.
Would anyone like to run the hospitality for us on Sundays? It's really an organising role - making sure the tea, coffee and cake happens. You don't have to actually be here yourself, but we just need someone who can put a rota together and make sure the people know when their turn is. Let us know if you can, thank you.
