TUBE's ONLINE ALPHA COURSE

Session 1 - Wednesday, 7th October 8-915pm

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that allow you to

explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share your point

of view in a safe and friendly environment.

Sessions include:

In there more to life than this?

Who is Jesus? Why did he die?

How can we have faith?

Why and how do I read the bible?

What about the church?

How does it work?

We will be running this course online via zoom. The course

runs for 8 weeks but at any point, if you think Alpha isn't for

you, that's not a problem - there's no pressure to stick around

and no charge. This is also a great place to invite a friend who

may be curious about the Christian faith.

If you would like to sign up for the course please email Dylan

on dylan@tubestation.org with your name, age and contact

number.

September Well-being Challenge

Here are the last few tasks from the week gone:

Day 12 - Connect

Tell someone something you have been wanting to for awhile.

Day 13 - Sabbath

Take a day (or at least half a day) to rest well.

Day 14 - The life of Jesus

Connect with someone and ask if they have any prayer requests. If

you are not a praying person, connect with someone that you know

is going through a hard time and let them know that you are thinking

about them.

Day 15 - Mindfullness

Download the Infinitum app on your phone and try it out.

Day 16 - Healthy Body

Today's challenge is to get outside for some form of excercise, but

avoid driving somewhere and keep it local. That might be a walk,

run, swim or surf....

Day 17 - Keep learning

Connect with someone older or wiser than yourself and ask them for

a life lesson

Day 18 - Give to others

Today's challenge to give has three 3 steps:

- Think about who you can give to

- Consider what would most bless them

- Don't think about it anymore - Go on and do it

Prayer for Today

Giving time to pray for others is important for us to do.  There will always be people, who for whatever reason are not able to pray themselves at this stage in their lives.  One day it may be you.

Someone who knew this wrote these words :
“When my heart was so broken that I could not pray,And darkness was all I could see.
Someone was there, somebody cared, somebody prayed for me.
Somebody went to the throne of heaven, somebody whispered my name.
Bringing me into Gods holy presence, saying what I could not say.
Somebody showed me the love of Jesus, when darkness was all I could see.
     Somebody prayed for me.”

So today loving God, we bring into your presence that person you are trusting us to pray for............................  Please Lord, help us to be better at praying for others. Amen.
