Shine a little light

It's been a fun filled few weeks as the community has found every excuse possible to get together and enjoy the build up to Christmas together - an epic roast dinner for all our wonderful staff and volunteers; yummy team breakfast; night time lantern parading in Polzeath complete with carols, mulled wine and mince pies; a day of cosy fireside family games and Christmas film with hundreds of pounds raised to help the homeless in Cornwall; even a visitation from a whole choir of angels dressed in toilet roll - ridiculous, hilarious, glorious!

A fabulous group of ladies at yesterday's Broadway workshop - Fame, Cats, Mary Poppins, what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Keep a lookout for more dance classes throughout 2019.

This week's Sunday Session...

This week Sunday 23rd Dec our Sunday Session is at 10am with Joff leading and Christmas carols lead by Meg and the Lowlies.

For the diary

- The Sunday Session before Christmas (23rd) will be a Carol Service.
- Christmas Day (Tues 25th) we will be having a short 40 min family service at 11.30am.
- The Tubestation will be closed for the Christmas Holidays and maintenance from Sat 22nd December until Tuesday 15th January
- If you would like to help us with some of the maintenance jobs that would be amazing - painting & fixing things - taking place 7th -11th January

Regular Stuff...

Tubestation is open Tuesday- Saturday 10-4

- Tuesday night Delabole / St Teath home group (last one tomorrow night - party!)
- Thursday morning Prayer 10.30 - 12
- Thursday night Tregonetha home group 7.30 at Joff and Stevi's (last one this week)
- Sunday Session every Sunday at 10am

The Golden-hair Lichen

For those who are as sure-footed as a mountain goat and have a head for heights, there is to be found among the granite crevices at the summit of Pentire Point a tiny and precious thing: the Golden Hair Lichen (Teloschistes flavicans). It grows out of the rock as exquisite saffron wisps... (read Mike Kent's full blog here)

Lil Pippsy nugget's on the way!

As many of you will know, Stevi and Joff's baby is due soon (Jan 9th) - so we have set up a page where you can sign up to provide a meal for them on a date of your choice, so that they can snuggle on the sofa with their new baby and catch up on their sleep while we drop food parcels on their doorstep. Click the pic on the left to check it out. Stevi is gluten free and likes to eat pretty healthily, and Joff has ditched his kosher food fad and now mainly lives on kids pasta and tiffin again - easy.
