Drifting into September feels like taking a deep breath. Locals come back out to play, Seasonnaires are still around and everyone seems to have a little more time for the important things in life, like each other! It's also a time when we start to say fond farewells to those who have been such a big part of the journey for the summer and now head back out to Uni, city life, or set off on their travels.
Out-takes and Interns
This year we have been so blessed with our team - Harry (top) is back off to York for his final year studying drama next week. He came to us a coffee enthusiast and leaves two months on as a very gifted barista (ask him for a 'swan' next time you order a flat white!). Harry's brought awesome energy and hilarity to the kitchen and we'll miss him very much. Next we have Honesty (above) who has been catering dynamite, dishing out consistently 'wow' food really fast, with such diligence and humility. Honesty is moving to South Wales to plan her next steps. Such an honour to work with both of these guys and the best news for us is - hopefully - they'll both be back next year!
It's really exciting to welcome Ffion, who is with us now for the next stint until October half term. Joff (below) is just about to finish the first year of his theology degree, and Tubestation has now agreed to host a second intern - Sarah Elks yeeewww! After spending the summer working with us, Sarah has delayed her Midwifery degree so that she can spent the next year as an SWYM (South West Youth Ministries) intern at Tubestation which is awesome!
Our Blue Planet
Ocean and Earth
Earth is the true water world of our solar system. Thanks to David Attenborough and the BBC natural history team, most of us are aware that we live on a Blue Planet with over 70 per cent of the Earth's surface being seawater.  If we're asked how many oceans there are on Earth...
